At Imperial Living, a brand of Impericraft Ventures LLP, we take pride in the quality of every product we curate. All our products are sourced directly from master artisans and go through quality checks before dispatch.
Because our products are handcrafted artisan items — each with its own unique characteristics — we have a focused return and replacement policy that ensures fairness to both our customers and the artisan communities we support.
Please read this policy carefully before placing an order. By purchasing from Imperial Living — whether through Amazon India or directly — you agree to the terms outlined here.

Amazon India Purchases
For all products purchased through Amazon India, Amazon's standard return and refund policy applies. Imperial Living operates within Amazon's seller policies as an Amazon marketplace seller.
- Returns on Amazon are governed by Amazon's return window (typically 10 days from delivery)
- Initiate returns directly through your Amazon Orders section
- Refunds are processed by Amazon to your original payment method

For Amazon purchases — always use Amazon's return portal as your first step. Our team is available to assist with any seller-side resolution if Amazon's process does not resolve your issue satisfactorily.

Direct Orders — Return Eligibility Window
For orders placed directly through Imperial Living (via our website contact form, email, or WhatsApp), the following return window applies:
- 7 days from the date of delivery for damaged or defective products
- 48 hours from delivery — report must be made within 48 hours for transit damage claims
- Returns will not be accepted after 7 days from delivery date, regardless of reason
The delivery date is determined by the tracking confirmation from our logistics partner. It is your responsibility to inspect the product upon delivery and report issues promptly.

What Is & Is Not Eligible for Return

- Product arrived damaged due to transit
- Product is defective or non-functional upon first use
- Wrong product delivered (different from what was ordered)
- Missing parts from a set (e.g. kansa dinner set missing a bowl)
- Product significantly different from description
✗ Not Eligible for Return
- Natural variation in colour, finish or texture — inherent in handcrafted items
- Minor size variation within standard handmade tolerances
- Natural patina or tarnish on copper/brass over time
- Damage caused by improper use or care
- Change of mind after delivery
- Products returned without original packaging
- Customised or personalised orders
- Items returned after 7 days of delivery
Our products are handcrafted — slight variations in colour, weight, and finish are natural characteristics, not defects. These make each piece unique and are not grounds for return. Please review product descriptions carefully before ordering.

Return Process — Step by Step
Email us within 7 days of delivery
Write to imperialcraft@gmail.com with subject line: "Return Request — [Your Order ID]"
Share photographs of the issue
Attach clear photos or a short video showing the damage, defect or incorrect item. Photos must show the product, packaging, and the issue clearly.
We review your request within 48 hours
Our team will review the evidence and confirm whether the return is approved or provide clarification if additional information is needed.
Return pickup or drop-off arranged
If approved, we will arrange a reverse pickup from your address or provide a return shipping address. Do not return items without written approval from us.
Replacement dispatched or refund initiated
Once the returned item is received and inspected, we will dispatch a replacement or initiate a refund within the timelines stated below.

Replacement Policy
We offer replacement as the primary resolution for eligible returns — replacing the defective or damaged item with the same product. This is our preferred resolution because it supports the artisan community by ensuring that handcrafted products reach customers in perfect condition.
- Replacement will be dispatched within 5–7 working days of receiving the returned item
- If the exact same product is unavailable, we will offer a comparable alternative or a full refund
- Replacement items carry the same 7-day return window from their new delivery date

Refund Timeline
Where a refund is approved (instead of replacement), the following timelines apply:
- UPI / Bank Transfer: 3–5 working days after refund is initiated
- Original payment method: 5–7 working days depending on your bank or payment provider
- Amazon orders: As per Amazon's refund processing timeline — typically 3–5 business days
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method used at the time of purchase. We are unable to refund to a different account or payment method.
Shipping charges, if any, are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error (wrong product, defective item).

Corporate & Bulk Orders
For corporate gifting orders and bulk purchases, a separate return and quality assurance process applies:
- All corporate orders are inspected and quality-checked before dispatch
- Quality issues must be reported within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence
- Replacement will be offered for confirmed defective units from bulk orders
- Refunds on bulk corporate orders are subject to mutual written agreement
- Customised bulk orders (with branding/personalisation) are non-returnable unless defective

Product Care Note
Many of our products are made from natural metals and materials. The following are natural characteristics and are not considered defects:
- Copper: May develop a natural greenish patina over time — this is a sign of pure copper. Clean with lime + salt or tamarind to restore shine.
- Brass: May darken or tarnish with use. Clean with lemon and baking soda or brass polish. Avoid dishwashers.
- Kansa (Bronze): May show small black spots or sharp edges — natural characteristics of hand-beaten bronze. Wash with wood ash or mild soap. Avoid acidic foods.
- Marble Inlay: Natural stone variations in colour and veining are expected. Handle with care — marble can chip if dropped.
Damage caused by improper care or use is not covered under our return policy.
